Cardiff Castle & The Principality Stadium
We drive through the city of Cardiff, passing the imposing Cardiff Castle which was built by the Romans and spans nearly 2000 years of history. We also drive by Wales’ national stadium and the home of Welsh rugby, the Principality Stadium.
St Fagans National History Museum
St Fagans is one of Europe’s leading open-air museums and Wales’ most popular heritage attraction, giving a fascinating experience of the rich Welsh culture. Standing in the grounds of the magnificent St Fagans castle and gardens, the museum gives a real insight into the lives of Welsh people through the ages. The historic buildings include houses, a farm, a chapel and a school and traditional crafts and activities are brought to life in the working museum. This is an interactive experience which celebrates Welsh traditions and lifestyle.
One of the oldest Christian sites in Britain, Llandaff cathedral is in the unspoilt and tranquil Llandaff conservation area. The cathedral dates from the 12th century, built over the site of an earlier church and is the seat of the Bishop of Llandaff. This historic and significant building boasts some of the finest medieval architecture in Wales.
